Half Marathon Time

Some of you are aware of the fact that I power walk a half marathon each year with my dear friend Chris. She of the big brown dog and who actually thought of the name, The You Revolution.

The half we chose 3 years ago is MORE Magazines Half Marathon for women over 40. It’s open to women only and if you are under 40 you need only partner–even virtually through their site–with someone who is 40 or more.

In the interest of keeping ourselves on track training wise and help each other stay motivated Chris started us a blog. We welcome comments–as do I here–and if you’d like to join us in training and are new to this whole half marathon thing just drop me an email and I can get you started.

We find the timing perfect. This year’s in on April 6th and what a great way to shake off any holiday pounds and lethargy than with a training schedule of 12 weeks or so. The other thing that helps a lot is remembering how much we hurt the first year because we did not take the training part seriously.
